BREAKING NEWS- Mexico Teen Retreat Participants Will Play With Kittens and Puppies

Hello and welcome to Let’s Volunteer! with Katie. In today’s blog post, we’ll cover one of the organizations the Mexico Teen Retreat will be helping in the Mexican Riviera, and how you can help them as well.

Coco´s Animal Welfare’s mission is to be able to prevent the birth of unwanted dogs and cats as well as to raise awareness of Adequate Guardianship of dogs and cats. They work with families and communities, providing on-site spay and neuter, or transporting animals to and from their clinic, for those without the means to do so. Control of feral cats and community dogs is achieved through TNVR (trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate and return) programs in local neighborhoods and includes implementing the Cat Café program in hotels and resorts, providing TNVR for their feral cats and community dogs, with annual follow up to ensure the health of their stable, non-reproducing populations.

The Project World School teens will be volunteering and helping the organization for one day of their retreat, and are looking for donations to bring to Coco’s. All of the teens have been asked to reach out to their local veterinarian offices in hopes of collecting medical supplies for Coco’s, and are doing well so far! The list of the donations they are looking for is easily obtained at a local veterinarian’s office, which you can find at here if you are interested in donating.

Coco’s is always accepting financial donations as well to keep their facilities up to date and safe for the animals they treat. If you’re interested in helping this fantastic company, you can donate here. If you’re interested in looking at more photos of their adorable kittens and puppies and learning more, go here.

Thank you, and now to conclude this segment of Let’s Volunteer! with Katie, here is an adorable video of their kittens:
